Container loss, damage, securing
We have investigated several container loss cases including damage to stows, some of these resulting in giving expert evidence at court in the UK and US, arbitration and mediation.
Issues investigated include loss, stow collapse and subsequent damage, stability, routeing, IMDG stowage and segregation, etc.
Breakbulk and project cargoes
We have extensive experience supervising the loading, stowing and securing of project cargoes, and conversely, investigating the loss of and damage to this type of cargo in transit and during discharge.
Cargoes handled include heavy lift, steel products, architectural components, railway carriages and engines, cranes, coils, machinery, boats / yachts, wheeled and tracked vehicles, etc.
Navigation issues, including grounding and collision analysis
Previous cases investigated include the graphic reconstruction of events leading up to the collision, grounding, etc. from witness statements, VDR, AIS and other data sources.
We have assisted Government and other agencies in tracking vessels engaged in smuggling and trafficking operations, damage to property and pollution, damage to sub-sea cables and pipelines, etc.
